Yohei Sushi opens location in Kāhala

A new sushi restaurant is now open in Kahala. Yohei Sushi recently held its grand opening on Jan. 18.

It has a sister restaurant on Dillingham Blvd. in Kalihi by the same name. That one's been around for over 30 years.

Both restaurants serve traditional Japanese omakase with influences from local Hawaii cuisine, but the one in Kahala is at a different price point.

Assistant manager Kent Okamura works at the Kahala restaurant. "If you are trying our omakase dish course, I highly recommend our hassun which comprises eight different Japanese delicacies with influences from our Hawaii side as well," he suggests.

The Kahala restaurant is in Kuono Marketplace across Kahala Mall. It's currently by reservation only.
